I’m so excited to share more about my collaboration with Mr. Jane Jacobs!

During a hike last summer at Rattlesnake Ledge, Mr. Jane Jacobs, a.k.a. Michael Scott Dixon, and I started a conversation about collaborating on a few greeting card designs. Mr. JJ (my nickname for him) and I share a love for letter writing and he wanted to create cards for his blog that encouraged connection in the real world, not just the virtual one. I love Mr. Jane Jacob’s message of self-discovery, rising above adversity and fostering relationships, not to mention his series of This is Targé vids on Instagram, so I knew our collab would be a fun one.

We talked about ideas for a few months and earlier this year we got together to go over twenty or so of Mr. JJ’s initial sketches and decided on which we’d develop further. He had so many great ideas and it was refreshing to work with someone else’s voice than my own. We picked the sketches whose messages had the greatest meaning for Mr. JJ and that I was most excited to add my flair to. We ended up with nine new greeting cards and an art print!

In addition to being a fun collaboration, 10% of each “Cheers Queers” greeting card and art print sold from my shop and in-person markets will be donated to Rainbow Center Tacoma, an organization Mr. Jane Jacobs has worked with. I hope you enjoy!
